The studio was built for one reason

To make the best-sounding music possible - and make sure you enjoy getting there.

I've spent 15+ years working with hundreds of artists as a songwriter, producer, mixer, and mastering engineer. That background isn't just a credential. It means that when you walk into this studio, every decision - from how we set up the session to how we handle your vocals - is made by someone who understands the entire arc of a song, not just the technical side of recording it.

This is a boutique studio in Lake Stevens, WA, 25 miles north of Seattle. It's small by design. No wasted time, no revolving door of clients. Just focused sessions where we get the most out of your music.

What artists say

Lavi

"It was amazing working with Joachim. He did an incredible mix, I'm thoroughly impressed. He is very intuitive when it comes to vision and nails it with notes/direction. Would highly highly highly recommend him."

Joshua Nearly

“His work is impeccable, but it all starts with listening; with depth, subtlety, and curiosity. Then add in his musicality, his technical skills, great gear, and combine that with a consistently upbeat approach. The results are outstanding, and the process is an absolute pleasure. Highly recommended.”

Hi, I'm Joachim

I'm a songwriter, recording artist, music producer, and recording/mixing/mastering engineer based in Lake Stevens, WA. I've spent 15+ years working with artists across pop, hip-hop, singer-songwriter, and beyond - from writing and producing to polishing and getting records ready for release.

I built this studio because I wanted a space where artists could come in, feel comfortable, and walk out with something they are genuinely proud of and rivals the sound of their favorite artists. That's still my only goal.

Let's bring your music to life in a studio built around one thing - the best possible sound, right here in Snohomish County.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I book a session? Start by booking a free 15-minute call through the link on this page. We'll talk through your project, figure out what you need, and map out a session plan. Once we're aligned, a 1 hour ($80) deposit confirms your date and time.

How much does a session cost? Sessions are $80/hr with a 2-hour minimum. There are no hidden fees or gear up-charges - just studio time with a professional engineer.

How long does it take to record a song? It depends on the song and how prepared you are coming in. A solo vocalist tracking one song can often get through it in 2–3 hours. A full band or a more complex production will take longer. We'll talk through this on the call so you're not guessing. Once a song has been recorded, the editing and mixing process starts, which will add a handful of hours on top of the recording time, depending on how complex the song and production is.

What should I bring to my session? Come as prepared as possible - know your lyrics, have your parts practiced, and bring any reference tracks you love. If you're a hip-hop artist, bring your beat file. If you play an instrument, bring it unless we've arranged otherwise. The more prepared you are, the more we get done. If you will be recording an instrument, make sure you have practiced playing to a metronome/click track.

Can you help me with my song if it's not finished? Yes. If you need help with arrangement, production, or even finishing lyrics, we can work on that together during the session. Just let me know ahead of time so we can plan the time accordingly.

Do you offer mixing and mastering too? Yes - both are available as part of the session at the same $80/hr rate. We can move straight from tracking into mixing and mastering, or you can come back for a separate session. Whatever works best for your project. If your project is already fully recorded and produced, check out my Mixing & Mastering Services.

I've never recorded in a studio before - is that okay? Completely. A big part of my job is making sure you feel comfortable and get a great performance, regardless of your experience level. First-time artists are welcome here.

Can I bring people with me to the session? Yes, within reason. A bandmate, a manager, or a close collaborator is fine. Just keep in mind that a smaller, focused room tends to produce better work - too many people can shift the energy of a session. There is a large window looking directly into you while you are performing. A lot of artists who bring friends/family into their sessions tend to get nervous with everyone watching them.

What equipment do you use? The studio runs on a professional, top-of-the-line signal chain built around the Lynx Aurora(n) interface and Burl converters, monitored through PMC speakers in an acoustically tuned and corrected control room. Vocals and instruments are tracked through high-quality preamps and microphones. We'll talk through any specific gear questions on the call.

Where exactly are you located and how do I find you? The studio is in Lake Stevens, WA - 25 miles north of Seattle. Once your session is confirmed, you'll receive the exact address and directions. Sessions are by appointment only.

Do you work with podcasters and voice over artists? Yes. The studio is well suited for podcast recording, narration, demo reels, and any project where clean, professional spoken word audio is the goal. The same hourly rate applies.

What genres do you work with? Pop, singer-songwriter, hip-hop, indie, rock, and more. If it involves recording great audio, we can handle it. Not sure if your project is a fit? Book a free call and let's find out.
